|
| Today the new stock market got introduced, feel free to buy and sell shares on the AESE (Airline Empires Stock Exchange)!
|
| The server changed again, Airline Empires (2) is now running on a high-performance cloud. In the last weeks
the game has been improved with some new features. Also for the future we are planning new features. David is currently programming
a new load factor script which allowed multi-classes-configurations on aircrafts, in this script the number of passengers is different every day
due to seasonal reasons. Tobias is currently checking the code-base and is implementing a stock market. For more information take a look at the forum
http://forums.airlineempires.net. Beside this: If you like AE, please donate a small amount to get the servers up
and running.
|
| As I'm sure you're all aware, Airline Empires has experienced a much longer down
time than originally planned. The reason for this is due to domain name issues with the AirlineEmpires.com
domain name, and the server perviously used. To put a long story short, the airlineempires.com domain is
not transferrable to the new server, thus we had to create and use the airlineempires.net address. The
game is still paused, and we are making the changes to ensure a smooth transition of all features to the
new page.
|
| The Airline Empires server will be down for a few days while we move to a new server. The game will be paused in the meantime and will resume in a few days. We are working diligently to minimize this down time.

The first articles to the Airline Empires Online Collaboration Manual have been written. The manual is being maintained within Air Wiki, and is constantly under construction.
Its success is dependent upon the many players contributing to the manual. Do not hesitate to edit the manual using experiences you have learned while playing the game.
To view the manual, go to The Airline Empires Manual.

The new version of Airline Empires is now playable. Read about the new features in the forum

In preparation for the next version of the simulation, Airline Empires will be reset on Thursday, March 17. All airlines will be reset but
usernames and airline names will remain. The next version should begin within a week following the reset with several new features.
|
The first round of alpha testing will be winding to a close in the next coming weeks.
Whether or not to include the new aircraft database into the game once the reset has taken place
has yet to be decided. The developers have been working on some elusive bugs with the new database,
and we want to iron them out before releasing it to testing. Once the game is reset, it will take a few days
until the game is playable again, however all players will retain their accounts. Thanx to all the testers for
their patience.

The routemap has been progressing to the point where we can publish a demo. It should the route map of a random airline immediately below this text. The map
uses lat/long information to place a city on the map, which incorporates projection error that is unavoidable. Some cities (such as Milwaukee) are skewed on the map, however
their location is accurate in relation to the other cities. The map uses Flash, so in order to be able to see the route map, you'll need to have flash installed. To view the map,
follow this link.

We have finished researching the updated aircraft database which can be found here. When this new database is implemented into the game, not only
will you be able to choose from 130 different aircraft, but you'll also be able to choose which engines to use on your aircraft. Each engine exhibits different performance abilities and economics
for the aircraft, so be careful which engine you decide to use. The new aircraft/engine database is planned to be implemented within the month. |
|
We are currently accepting testers for alpha testing. There are several components of the game not comleted, however the engine is running and needs to be tested.
If you are interested in alpa testing, send an email to questions@airlineempires.com

- Over 300 cities around the world

- Direct Competition with Other Players
- Fare Wars
- Stock Market
- Airline Takeovers
- Leasing Aircraft To and From Other Players
